Chiappetta Shoes is an essential part of the Kenosha community and as such, our people have to play a part in upholding the values that makes this city great. Head of Design and Marketing

We’re a great shop looking to do BIG things in the near future and we need a leader to help us grow and to build out a marketing department!

We are a great shop looking to do BIG things in the near future and we need a leader to help us grow and to build out a marketing department! First and foremost, Chiappetta Shoes is looking for a strong design mind, someone that can talk the talk when it comes to typography and good design as well as develop engaging content in all channels (newspaper, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube videos, and blogging). The primary tasks of this position will be maintaining and managing the daily marketing operation.  Over Chiappetta Shoes’ 96 years of business, we have developed a great culture, history, and traditions that we want to share with the world and develop a brand that embodies these traits. Are you the person to help us get to the next level?

Primary Qualifications and Skills:

  • Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premier Pro.
  • Photography and Video shooting and editing.
  • WordPress website management (including Cornerstone editor).
  • Ability to learn footwear and inventory quickly.
  • A love for data and organization.
  • Ability to buy into the Chiappetta Crew, what we do and who we are.
  • Ability to be a leader and help develop a marketing department as we grow.

Additional Marketing Skills (base level of knowledge required):

  • Facebook Ad Manager.
  • Hootsuite.
  • Hubspot.
  • Google Analytics.
  • CRM and Marketing Automation.

Responsibilities:

  • All creative work for entire marketing operation.
  • Advertisement scheduling and placement.
  • Marketing budget allocation in conjunction with Tony Chiappetta.
  • Website product photography and digital maintenance of website.
  • Blog post contributor management (looking for new contributors and managing current ones).
  • Seasonally setting the marketing schedule and creative theme.
  • Loyalty program development and collaboration with our exclusive partners.
  • POS advertisement management (for ROI tracking purposes).
  • Seasonal window displays.
  • Co-Op advertising management.
  • Innovation. We want to develop a full department as we grow so developing the processes for in-house work is essential for growth.

These additional requirements are needed to help us build out a digital footprint. We have the foundation set for all these platforms but need a person to help us develop campaigns that are essential to growth and staying current in today’s retail environment.

This sales position will be full time, 40 hours per week and Chiappetta Shoes offers competitive wages.

Internships

Pedorthic Internship Program

A specialty of Chiappetta Shoes that keeps many of our long-term customers coming back year after year is our custom orthotics. We have been manufacturing them in-house for 45 years, and have a wealth of experience to share with our lucky pedorthic intern! This on-the-job training will give you a leg up in many fields of work, particularly pre-med or physical therapy. Chiappetta Shoes’ methods and attention to detail and quality is unmatched. Our hours of operation will be applicable to this position, and your work hours will be flexible to coordinate with your class schedule. For the time you spend with us, you will be compensated with 3 college credits and a wealth of knowledge and practice to take to bring with you to your chosen profession, including:

Manufacturing Skills

  • Plaster casting to create positive molds of feet
  • Orthotic material management
  • Workshop workflow management
  • Orthotic manufacturing
  • Footwear modifications
  • And many other aspects of orthotic development!

Patient Care

  • Initial foot assessments
  • Orthotic recommentaions
  • Health-specific footwear recommendations
  • Orthotic fitting and adjustments
  • Regular orthotic maintenance and evaluations
  • Paperwork management
